Employer holds back employee wages

I recently went to the labor board to file a claim against my employer.
he won't pay me my money unless I sign a form that reduces my pay from 10 to 5 dollars an hour plus makes me and independent contractor.
just because this is a right to work state he is not allowed to break the law like this.

has anyone here ever been in a simular situation?
And if you have what did you do?

I've had something similar happen to me, but I didn't take a pay cut, my employer just ended my benifits package. A 50% pay cut seem steep, your local labor board should be notified.
