The Dragon Boat Club of Boston, a 2006 7-time medalist competitive Boston dragon boat (http://www.dbcb.org) team, now in it's 5th and most successful year of racing in Boston, Montreal, New York, Lowell, Pawtucket, Hartford, and San Francisco is looking forward the June 2007 Boston Dragon Boat Festival (http://www.bostondragonboat.org/races_results.html) where 2 of our 3 teams won the Hong Kong Cup Grand Prize and First Place Prize in 2006.

"In the next race, however, we won, and I began to think about taking up a new sport." - John Tracey, Rowing News

We want to gratefully thank John Tracey of Rowing News for riding along with us and for his writeup about us in the October 2006 edition of Rowing News! Click here to read the article. (http://dbcb.org/media/RN_13-840-47.pdf)

Our multiple co-ed crews practice 3 times a week on the ONLY TWO authentic dragonboats you'll find on the beautiful Charles River right now. What is a dragonboat? It's like a cross between canoeing and crew, but in these giant 40ft fiberglass boats with 20 paddlers.

Here's a shot of us pulling out a narrow win at the Olympic Rowing Basin in Montreal this year (we're in lane one):
