Why heck yes I remember Legend City!! It was the cool thing to do, back then. In fact, Wallace and Ladmo held stage shows there often. Did you see the edition of New Times with those AZ celebs on the cover last year?! Seems to me they mentioned Legend City in the feature article.
They had 'shoot outs' depicting AZ's wild west way of life. In fact, arent the guys at Rawhide (the next generation or two?!) After L.C. closed its doors, they opened 'cowtown' way out west near Lake Pleasant.
Guess what?? I was in the fife and drum corps and we performed on several occasions at Legend City! Yes, it was the BEST for meeting new boys!! (ha! oh mom!!!)

Pat McMahon, who was 'Hub Capp' on the Wallace and Ladmo show, performed at the Legend City amusement park, way back when...did the 'Spiders' also play there?

I remember my parents taking me to legend city...back in the late 70s, or sometime around then. I was only about 8 or 9 years old. I do recall going on a rollercoaster there, I also remember wallace and ladmo, the big geeks! LOL. :D

Legend City was fun...but Wallace and Ladmo weren't really geeks. They were too cool. Growing up with them/their show was a privelege. The cartoons were okay, but their offbeat comedy truly was an intimate experience. Aunt Maud, Gerald, Hub Capp, Ozob, Captain Super...oh my God!! I loved Bill, Vlad and Pat...arizona was blessed to have been home to them. I would also venture to guess they were babysitter to 100's of kids before and after school and I cannot think of any other show on tv that deserved such trust.

Yes I do.Iwas the Manager from 1975 thru 1978. I re-opened the Park after it had been closed for several years. A Japanese company owned it and prior to that U-Haul Owned.
I worked for the Capell Family that also owned a Carnival, Capell Brothers Shows out of Coolidge.
I would look forward to hearing from anyone who worked there during that time.
Ron Nix, our cowboy stuntman, Pat McMahon of Wallace and Ladmo, what great memories.

I didn't work there, unless you consider crawling underneath all the rides that went fast and upside down before the park opened every day and collecting fallen change a job! As my mom said my dad ran the train and i was raised there. I hung out with the llamas. And the chick who's dad owned the ice cream parlour. We used to play house in the crooked lost dutchmen's room long after it had closed. Great Great memories!
I also remember the saxophonist from the rock band being arrested for 'indecent exposure' one night when he jumped in the log ride water, making my mother have to explain what those words meant. I learned a lot at that place!
