they copy your IP # (the one your comp uses to connect to the internet). Something I would NOT trust. This means they could very easily access your computer files...

As long as this thread is about scams,
Please do not respond to emails from any finacel institution. I work for a bank and get calles allday about phishing or fraudulet email.
They all go something like" we suspect fraud for some reason, so click on the link below to verify your acct." Some even give a date that this has to be done by.
1. Real financel institution if they feel your account has been compremized, will either stop internet access to the acct or freeze the acct and then try to contact you or wait for you to contact them, not wait and see if they get an email.
2. If you get any email from a financel institution, do not reply thru links in the email. Close out your email and loggin to you financel institution directly or call you financel institution.
Please share this with friend, parents and grandparents
thanks

As long as this thread is about scams...
1) Stop calling my gas station!
2) I'm not sure what collecting users' "ID numbers" would do for anyone. I doubt this would ever be a profitable scam. "Hooray! I have a huge list of IP's!", they seemed to say. Scammers usually want your money, not your family photos and collection of freeware puzzle games.
3) Everyone gets emails from scammers offering some outrageous "opportunity". When you get these, you first have to ask yourself "Why would a Nigerian Prince whom I've never met be randomly offering me 16 billion lbs of gold?" or whatever it is that they're always trying to pull over on people. The second thing you need to consider is whether or not the laws of your country are applicable to people overseas (just in case your deal with the Prince of Nigeria goes sour, you know?). Chances are that they're not, and if you get swindled there's not really very much you can do about it. So...needless to say, it's always best to keep business endeavors within the confines of people that are, at least, in the same country as you are.
4) It's usually smart to stay away from anything that seems fishy. Anything that seems "too good to be true" probably is. Like "Make $500 a Second Working From Home!" or "Secure Immortality and Wealth by Taking Online Surveys". Again...too good to be true, probably is, rinse and repeat.

Anyone can get your ip. I have your ip. However, you probably aren't browsing the internet on a web server / have any services, ports etc open for me to easliy exploit, allowing me to steal your freeware games and clever desktop backgrounds.
Seriously tho. "Hackers" don't care about you.
Don't feel bad about that. I'm sure you're a very nice person, it's just that they have much better things to do with their time.
Your ip address is tracked no matter what you're doing on the internet. It's really not that big of a deal so, rest easy.
Also, stop calling that poor guy's gas station.

This is crap, you can only NOT click on the state if you are not using I.E. And as for the number going to a gas station, thats more crap. Call it and it goes to Multistream media. Do some research before you believe everything you read!
