Poms come in different colors tan rust black, I would tell you you get what you pay for. I found my boxer pup in the back of the dog fancy magizine. pick a good breeder.
and ask for a buff colored pom is the color of the one in the photo.

Also I have found that there are diffrent size pomeranians as well there are the really small ones 3-6lbs and then the average size ones 8-15 lbs and when looking for a breeder make sure that they only breed 1 or 2 (at the most) breeds of dogs. DO NOT BUY FROM A MULTIPLE BREEDS BREEDER!!!! simply meaning if you are looking for a pom make sure the breeder only breeds poms and its ok if they may have 1 other breed, I have been through horrible past experiences with breeders that breed 3,4,10-15 diffrent breeds of dogs and it was HORRIBLE, sick, sick, sick puppies. PLEASE STAY AWAY.
And also stay away from pet stores they support puppymills and when you buy from a pet store you support puppymills too.

Also when you are looking for the pom puppy DO NOT buy from anyone that is selling online out of country or out of your state! Alot of the ones online are SCAMS and will ask you to pay and then they will ship the puppy to you its a dam joke! they will steal your money in a heartbeat and they don't even have the puppies that they sent you a picture of, most of the time those photos they sent you are someone elses pictures they stole. Look in your local newspaper or even in the dog fancy mag or dog world mag those are breeders of the breeds, go out to the breeder or individuals home and look at the parents always request to see the parents!

what I ment by seeing the parents is if you go over to someones house and see the parents of the puppies and they look all nasty and sickly do you think that the puppy you are fixing to buy would be any better? also, look at the environment in which the dogs live in it tells alot about the dogs health.
