trying to take my baby

i bought a cat from a lady. well she bought it for me but the paper work is in my name but she said since she had proof she bought it that she can sue me and take my cat back. does anyone know if she can do that. this is my baby but i don't want to get sued over it :confused: :eek: :( :mad:

If she gave it to you as a gift, and the paperwork implies that, then it is your pet. You can not stop her from suing but she should not win.... :cool:

Also, if the pet is in a different person name sometimes bills from the vet and from pet food you bought are going to be enough proof.
