I saw fish like that here at an aquarium store in phoenix and wondered how they did it. Poor lil fishies, I was hoping it was just a dye not an actual tat

The fish are tattooed with everything from polka dots to stripes.



Breeders say the tattoos are harmless to the fish and are done with either a dye or a low-level laser.



However, animal rights activists are condemning the practice as cruel.

If I was a little fish I'd want a tattoo of a shark's jaw on me! Bigger fish would leave me alone!
