My husband does not believe in it. I do not on some level as it is all about commercialization. It has gotten out of hand. I do think it is a special day and I do things for other people on that day. I do things every week for my friends and for the wounded warriors. I just step it up a notch on V-day.

We do believe in Christmas but no, it is not 100% commericalization. You have no clue how we celebrate Christmas and we do not like the fact that people only think about Santa and gifts during that time of the year. Valentines is not a religious holiday and it is about giving and sharing love. We don't need gifts for that.

I am with you about this Velentine's day. I took my wife to see a movie, it was called Cashback, my wife did not like the movie while I told her I did and she smacked me because she thinks I liked the movie because of the nudity. :confused:
Then I took her to a restaurant where I wined and dined her. I did not buy her anything because I gave her my credit card to go buy herself something she likes. Whenever I buy her a surprise she usually never likes it and want to exchange it to something nice.
I try very hard. I never succeed though. :confused:
