I'm sure everyone's heard by now, but there has been a huge recall of pet foods. Not just generic, but name brand, and even some high end brands. Here is a list of dog and cat food to stop feeding your animals. Apparently, there was a contamination at Menu Foods, who makes and distributes food for a lot of companies, and it has resulted in an "undisclosed" number of cats and dogs dying or having to be euthanized for kidney failure. The list is from Menu Foods. I'm reposting this in the Pet forum too, if it hasn't already been posted there. This is a nationwide recall of 49 dog food brands, and 41 cat food brands.

Edit: Found some more info:
*Proctor & Gamble is recalling their products made by Menu Foods but sold under the Iams and Eukanuba brands.
*Purina is also affected. http://purina.com/company/press/2007/MightyDog.aspx and apparently more brands are being added.
This is not good news for so many of our fur babies. :(
