Hmm... well my wife is at work at the moment, otherwise we could get her opinion too, but here is mine;

I do not really care for the term at all, at least not as far as it means in broader society. Sure, we like to use "dirty" words and names sometimes, but by and large it is to mock the common perception. The meaning and history though behind it when most of society uses it leaves a bad taste in my mouth for a couple of reasons. First and formost is the religous and societal attempt to control all of our sexual thoughts and desires. Not to use the old cliche of the book 1984, but it really is true that speach shapes our thoughts, and words like slut, whore, and others were all derived to control women (who were to be property, even in recent times to many), and through shaming them, also control the men they were with. I personally feel that no woman is a slut regardless of the number of partners or preferences, unless she feels she is. Hell, if she has been with a large number of partners and is not full of shame or self-loathing over it, I find it very hot. Any woman who is confident and happy with her sexual choices is very desireable to me. If the greater bit of society wishes to call her a slut to put her down, I hope she wears it as a badge of honor that she is more mature and enlightened than the masses, and send her on over our way to be honored (and pleasured!) as she should! :)
