I once dated a guy who used to shave and then decided to stop after a while...it was horrible. I was afraid I'd suffocate every time I went down on him.

I rarely get razor burn...I use my "good conditioner".

I apply it liberally then go about the rest of my shower or whatnot, then after about 10 minutes or so, I shave it. If I'm going to be home for a while, I put a thick moisturizer on...otherwise I just use my regular after-bath lotion (Jergens or something else unscented for sensitive skin).

Actually, it's not all that bad. The esty (esthetician) gave me a benzocaine based numbing cream to apply about 1/2 hour before the treatment. I also took a couple of advil to reduce any swelling or pain. No problems with a little prep work. It still hurts a little, but is easily tolerable.

That is a down side for me. The hair needs to be at least 3/16" to be long enough for a wax. However, the feel of my skin without any roots is unbelievable. I used to shave, but the roots under my skin didn't quite do it for me. I think that shaving or waxing didn't matter to my wife, but it feels different for me.

i know. at my salon they keep offering me the first one free but i ride a lot(bicycle) and the reason i first started shaving is that it pulls. i just can't stand it!
