I have a lab a little over a year old. I've trained him to retrieve like a real retriever should. He just has one problem though. He doesn't seem to like to swim which is very strange for a lab. Anyone have tips or advice on getting him to retrieve in water. Thanks

Did you train this dog from birth to like water? Even if you haven't, it sounds as if this dog may not be a true working dog. It may not from working lines (maybe from a back yard breeder or a conformation breeder).
You can probably get in touch with a knowledgeable sporting dogs owner/trainer to help you.
