;)Hi. My name is George. I'm a 24* yr old virgin male, searching for a very young female to share the ranch life with me, (No strings** attached , of course.) Someone to
be my 2nd best friend and lover - I would like to have kids someday.
I do prefer redheads, but blue's okay, too.
I am good-looking, with a stocky muscular build. I run and excercise every day. I enjoy long walks, scenic drives and ice cream. My hobbies include chasing cows, horses and the occasional rabbit or cat. I hate shopping because I don't like waiting in the car very long.
* I'm 3 1/2 years old, but that's 24 in doggy years.
** My roommate is always # 1.
If you or someone you know has a female australian cattle dog/blue heeler puppy available, please contact me kat_mcquown@yahoo.com- or my roommate.
:D Thanks !

are you really looking to breed? if so, I would try to find a reputable breeder. look for a breeder that does at least OFA testing (and tells you the results -- they should be at least "good"). your dog should have OFA testing as well to ensure the health of the puppies... after all, spewing out average or below average puppies doesn't do anyone good.
if you're not looking to breed go to petfinder.com.

Our goal isn't to breed, but to find a dog that "fits" into our family, and provide a companion for George. And...to have fun doing it.
We have both had dogs that lived to be nearly 20 before we lost them.
None were OFA tested, nor was George. We live on a ranch, and George is a very intelligent working dog, not a fufu show animal or breeding stock.
Our pets are part of our family, and we look for the right personality, not looks or perfection, and raise them right along with our kids.
We aren't looking for an animal that's been rescued from abuse, or dumped in a shelter. We hope to find one pretty much the same way we found George.
We just thought since we're looking for a female, it was cute to write George a "singles ad".
Thanks for your input.

not all animals in shelters have been abused or "dumped". people die, move, etc. you can't just not think about adopting. just look, at least.
and OFA isn't for show dogs (though it can be). they're for working dogs or just to make sure the dogs won't develope problems such as HD, heart problems, etc.
