Hay guys and girls, I just bougth this second hand computer it's a Dell Opti Plex GX151. The person bought them at an auction, when I powered it up the Windows 2000 asked for the unlock pass word. How do I go about eraseing the memory, hardrive, or whatever to get rid of the Windows so I can use in computer, and how would I reinstall Windows. I'm very behind on the computer so go slow(computer stupid). Thanks for ya'lls help :)

FD, do a search on reformatting the harddrive, it will take some reading, but you can then erase all the stuff and reload all new programs.

restart hitting f8, start in safe mode. user name "admin" there is usually not a password so hit enter (or it is "password" or "admin"). once in safe mode go into user accounts and change the password...or use Lopht Crack version 4 (LC4) or better (can probably find it free on one of the bootleg sites).
Your welcome ;)

ofcdn is correct in that Windows Security isnt really secure. You can always bypass windows passwords easily. But since they are used pc's Id advise the reformat idea myself. Its a simple fix and you will dump any old bs sofware, spyware, adware, and viruses they may have had that were giving them problems. Good luck.

Help!!I did try the "safe mode" didn't work, and I don't know where to start to look on the reformatting the hard drive. I found in the set-up menu where it says hardrive but that's about it. A guy will charge me $165 to come out and set it up so I thinking of going that route if I can't figure it out shortly. Alittle more help will be nice ,Thanks so far guys :)
