Please spay and neuter. If you cannot even spell the breed of your dog (SHIH Tzu), you don't know half of what is needed to breed.
Is your dog OFA tested? What were the scores? Are you breeding for conformation? Field work? (obviously not). Is your dog cleared for hereditary diseases?
What if your bitch experiences dystocia (common in smaller breeds)? Are you willing to pay $3,000 for a c-section for posssibly still-birth pups? Do you realize responsible breeders breed to better the breed, and when a pet-quality dog is produced, they're culled?
There are millions of pet-quality animals dying in shelters each year. Please rethink your decision.
Read this site for more information on breeding.

If you feel you need more animals in your life, babies even. There are shelters in your area full of dogs that need homes.
Miami Lakes, Florida right?

First, tell your vet you're planning on breeding your dog. Their advice should be more than helpful.
Second, your physical exam your dog got at the vet does nothing to help find out whether your bitch is worthy of breeding or not. It tells you the current state of your dog. Sure, most dogs are healthy when they're 1-5 years of age, but what about cancer? Cataracts? Heart issues? Hips/elbows? I can tell you right now your dog has had not ONE OFA test.
Thirdly, obviously you nevert read the site (and if you did, you ignored it). Read it if you're responsible.
Lastly, she's a MIX. That's going to tell me she's not breeding material.
If you're choosing to breed, you're no better than a back yard breeder or a puppy mill.

HI, my little Princess is 1 year and 2 months and is ready to be a mom.
I recommend getting spayed. There are already too many bitches in this world breeding and breeding and breeding.
As for the cute little doggie, get her spayed too.

I am a vet tech . . . unaltered dogs have increased risk of cancers, mammary tumors, pyometras, and pregnancy complications including death of mother and/or puppies.
Not to mention that the earlier you fix a dog, typically the longer their lifespan is.
But this is not the point.
The point is that approximately 4 million dogs are euthanized annually in the US.
They are not sick or aggressive, there is nothing wrong with them. There are simply too many.
If you want more dogs, adopt from shelters. HELP US! Help the problem and do not make it worse by adding to the overpopulation.
The notion that dogs want to be mothers or something is unfounded . . . dogs hormones (many of which are supressed with the removal of the ovaries) encourage them to wander and breed, this is not a psychological or spiritual yearning as it often is for humans.
Please, for your dog's health and for the sake of millions of dogs who did nothing wrong except be bred into an overpopulated world . . . please give them a chance.
There are thousands of us in the country, desperately pouring our hearts and resources into rescue, trying to plead to people, most of whom have never even walked through a shelter much less seen baby kittens gassed, or had to stick a euthanasia needle into a healthy young dog wagging its tail. Its disgusting.
Sometimes I feel like a German pleading to my countrymen that they are burning Jews right in the next town.
PLEASE STOP BREEDING! We are gassing them by the thousands!
