how do cats display stress?

The last few nights my cat keeps waking me up. All she does is rub against me and then settle in for a sleep! I don't mind that she is sleeping on the bed, I just wished she didn't have to wake me up before going to sleep.

Am getting pretty tired but thankfully I love coffee.

Our routine hasn't changed and she has access to food, water and toilet all night, she can't be wanting for anything.

Could this be the sign of something else?

You are the alpha CAT and she is asking for your acceptance - I had a cat that would
gently tap me on the shoulder so I would roll over and let her under the covers - after about
ten years it was automatic and I never woke up any more.

My cat does the same.....but usually waits until about 4am. I don't think there's anything wrong with your cat. I've had quite a few that have done the same.

What your cat needs is a good kick in the ass to send it flying off the bed. The only animal I allow in my bed is my wife.:cool:
