My ferret and I have recently moved into a four bedroom house with five other people, their cockatiel, snake, three dogs, and two ferrets. Naturally my roommate is the other ferret owner, but irregardless my question is this! How many pets are in your home?

the birds are "accidents" -- someone dumped two budgies on us and the cockatiel was a stray that flew to my mother when she was shopping.

and 17 kittens is... interesting. haha

I'd expect cats to mess with birds. Maybe I'm just naiive, but I didn't expect ferrets to go out of their way to er...'play' with them.

17 kittens has to be fun...for the first week.

the cats really don't mess with the birds --

the cats always stay upstairs and the birds stay downstairs.

and actually kittens are the least fun the first week -- they're all newborns so they're pretty ugly and they just kinda sit there. they're most fun when they're 5 weeks, I'd say.

I just love how the fall over when learning to play so cute..

My neighbor here in the country fed a bunch of cats who had been thrown out here for about 10 years but never got any of them fixed. Then she moved away and left them all.... I started feeding them and they moved to my house. I have spent the past 2 years trapping/fixing/releasing them but not before the last female gave me 5 beautiful babies. I think I have adopted out 3 of the babies and will probably end up keeping the last 2. We have 2 German Shepherds, one from the Austin Texas German Shepherd Rescue which is great. Then one day 6 months ago I was going to work and found a very small puppy someone had left on the center stripe of a busy road. I picked him up and the other dogs fell in love with home so now we have 3 dogs. We live on 15 acres so it's like living in a zoo. I love my life.

1 more added to the family....got my son a new puupy for x-mas. I can't believe I HAVE fallen in love with her so soon, brought her home yesterday. She is a pit bull, blue and papered. She is beautiful and very lovable. I am still trying to come upwith a name for her before I send her paperwork off tomorrow. My son calls her Halle....he says because she is so pretty...................................

Thank you, I have had pit bulls for years.....at one time as many as 16. I love them. The new one is 6 months and she is just perfect, very docile, great with the kids. Plus, she is already house broken....my daughter said "I know you love her mommy becasue you let her walk on your wooden floor":D
It seems like this is where she belongs.
