Hello all, I'm 30, moved away from the 'burgh when I was 15. My parents still live there, they recently moved to the Mexican War Streets, and now my wife and I are planning on moving back to the 'burgh, buying a house, going back to school (Pitt), eventually having kids, yadda, yadda.
Our biggest dilhelmma is where to live. The friends/family we know in Pittsburgh are not lgbt and don't know much about the community or what its like to be "one of us" in Pittsburgh. We're looking at neighborhoods where you can get a lot of house for not much money-- Bellevue, Brighton Heights, Observatory Hill-- but we don't know if (m)any other lgbt people live there.
Are there any up-and-coming neighborhoods we should know about? I'd love any feedback or advice you could give us about Pittsburgh neighborhoods. Are there any in particular areas that lesbians gravitate towards?
