School name use

I've recently been building some graphics for a client's website. The website is an online community of college fans where people pay a fee to join. As part of the sign-up process, people must select their favorite college or university. Does anyone know if there any legal issues involved with using the schools' names in this way?

I doubt using a "name" of a "public" school on your website carries any legal ramifications although using their logo or mascot's image might.

If using their name was a legal problem, then they wouldn't even be listed in the phone book, would they?
