Please help with divorce law issues in Texas

I am currently seeking a divorce in the state of texas and want custody of one of my children. Will the state seperate two children that are 2 and 3 years old? My wife has no job and has never had a job since we have been married, will that help? This is an extremely painful process and I just want it to go smooth and end quick and advice would be greatly appreciated.

Why would you only seek custody of one of two children? The things that can do to both of their heads. I am trying not to judge but for the life of me I can not come up with a valid reason to leave one behind. Care to enlighten?

I do not have a valid reason and really do not want to seperate the babies at all. But she has said that we could split them to share the duties. I think I would rather let them stay together, but I just don't know if I could live without them. This is an extremely hard situation and any advice would be helpful. Thanks for your reply

I sent you an email. You need to use this situation to the advantage of your sweet babies. No judge is going to approve of her offer unless there is some good reason. Read my email and we will talk more soon. Chin up and your kids emotional future is worth this fight.
