I don't know how many here have legal expertise in this field, but here goes. I signed a two-year cell phone contract with Sprint on Jan. 13 of this year. I payed $50 for a deposit after they ran a credit check, which I thought that I had passed. My reasoning behind this belief is that if I hadn't passed, they would have told me so, and would've made me 1) pay a higher deposit or 2) denied my application. This was all done at an actual Sprint/Nextel store in Downtown Pittsburgh.
This past Friday, I received a letter from Sprint stating that they reviewed my credit, and after doing so, determined that I was ineligible for my current plan due to my credit score. Here's what I don't understand. If I was ineligible, should they not have told me right away? And can they arbitrarily decide to switch my plan? Does anyone know what legal recourse I may take, if any? Thanks.
