Petition to Extend the Closing Date of Mt. Hood Meadows Ski Resort
Rationale
As of March 14, 2006, Mt. Hood Meadows has a 276" base at the top of
Cascade Express and a 180" base at the lodge. Mt. Hood Meadows Ski Resort
remained open until May 6th a few seasons ago with less snow pack than we
have this year. Yet, they have posted April 16th as their close date while
significant snow continues to fall.
We believe that Mt. Hood Meadows has a responsibility to it's season pass
holders, as well as to the local riding community who purchases daily
lift tickets and should remain open for as long as the snow pack allows.

We, the undersigned, request that the management company of Mt. Hood
Meadows Ski Resort extend the closing date of Mt. Hood Meadows from April
16, 2006 to a later date determined by the amount of remaining rideable
snow pack.
