So I came across this whole Ruby on Rails web design system. I guess you would say system. I generally work in dreamweaver, and am interested in keeping sites optimized for search engines. General I create simple sites for artists and phototographers with minimal e-commerce carts. Does anyone here know much about Ruby on Rails? Is it a technology I should invest my time in? What are the benefits for a designer of my style? You know all the questions like that.
Thanks

If you are creating basic sites artists and photographers you probabally have no need to invest your time in looking into Ruby. Ruby is a dynamically typed programming language similar to Phython, Smalltak and Perl. It is used more to write complicated web-based applications in rapid time compared to months.

If you would like some detailed information regarding Ruby, I would suggest reading "Rolling with Ruby on Rails" by Curt Hibbs. You can find the article here.

Have a great day. I hope I shed a little light into your question.
