Week 1
Thu, Sep 10
TEN @ PIT
Gotta go with Pitt here, just way to talented and my early pick for a repeat of last year. Then again so is everyone else picking them.

Sun, Sep 13
MIA @ ATL
Going to pick Atlanta here, Ryan was no fluke last year and besides do not have high expectations on Miami this year

KC @ BAL
No brainer, Baltimore, KC is one of several teams that may be this years Detroit

PHI @ CAR
Tough call for week 1 but going to take Carolina at home, no rhyme or reason think it can go either way actually. Home field gives them the advantage.

DEN @ CIN
Bengals, again Denver is horrible, yeah they will win this year, just not that often

MIN @ CLE
Vikings will run all over the Browns this week. AP to start the year strong!!!

NYJ @ HOU
Hello Texans, my sleeper pick from last year, but as usual a year to early. Expect good things out of Houston this year and that is just not a biased opinion

JAC @ IND
Going to give Indy the nod here, think it actually be close but see them pulling away in the 4th.

DET @ NO
Hello, yeah expect 4 wins from the Lions, just not this week. Saints no contest.

DAL @ TB
OK, I do not like the Cowboys and do not think they will be that good this year, but here is another team that may not win this year in Tampa.

SF @ ARI
Always seems to be tough but AZ will win this game. Have high hopes for the 49ers but believe they are second tier in this division and everyone is chasing the Cards.

WAS @ NYG
Giants laughing in this game. Washington just will not have it this year.

STL @ SEA
Seattle will win here and provide the NW with some real early excitement this year with high hopes. Luckily they are playing the Rams, team #3 that very possibly may go with out a win.

CHI @ GB
Game of the week in my opinion. All the Cutler hype vrs Rogers having a pro bowl preseason. Didn't the Pack score every time they had the ball with the 1st team in? This game will be decided on which team seems to catch that break, and my Homer instinct has the Bears upsetting the Pack!

Mon, Sep 14
BUF @ NE
Welcome back Tom Brady!!! Do not expect Buffalo to have the same start as last year and then watch for the TO melt down! Pats in a game where the score will not reflect how one sided the game actually was.

SD @ OAK
Chargers are probably one of the most talented teams on paper, yea the games are not played on paper but then again it is the Raiders! Blow out here!!!

Week 1
Thu, Sep 10
TEN @ PIT

I like Pit here... they have an axe to grind with the Titans...

Sun, Sep 13
MIA @ ATL

Going with the Dolphins... too much defense.

KC @ BAL

Same as above.. although I thing the Ravens will not be as good as many think this year.

PHI @ CAR

Good game here... I like Carolina in overtime.

DEN @ CIN

Denver is pitiful, but should win... The Bengals did improve their defense this year.

MIN @ CLE

Upset of the week... Cleveland and Brady Quinn shock the Vikes.

NYJ @ HOU

I like Houston here, they improved in defense and Schaub has weapons.

JAC @ IND

Colts should prevail.

DET @ NO

Brees will go for 400 yeards....lol

DAL @ TB

Dallas should win this... Not sure what TB has this year.

SF @ ARI

Could the Cards drop the first game? Nawwww... they will win. :D

WAS @ NYG

This will be a tough game for the Giants... should pull it out.

STL @ SEA

The Hawks should roll the Rams here.

CHI @ GB

This is going to be a shoot-out. I think the Bears will win by 1

Mon, Sep 14
BUF @ NE

T.O. in primetime? Could be another upset... alot closer than many will predict. Pats by a field goal.

SD @ OAK

The Raiders are aweful... SD rolls.

2009 Power Rankings: Week 1

1 (1) Steelers 12-4-0 They're loaded with talent and their coach knows how to maximize it. Can you say "repeat"? (Chadiha)

2 (2) Patriots 11-5-0 QB Tom Brady's broad shoulders have to carry an aging defense. (Clayton)

3 (3) Giants 12-4-0 The Giants have concerns on defense, but they buy time with solid ground game. (Clayton)

4 (4) Eagles 9-6-1 QB Donovan McNabb isn't wild about Wildcat, but he's the Eagles wild card to success. (Clayton)

5 (6) Chargers 8-8-0 Even if the Chargers get caught up in the hype, they will win the division. (Kuharsky)

6 (5) Colts 12-4-0 Left tackle is the one big issue, but they'll work around it as much as possible. (Kuharsky)

7 (7) Titans 13-3-0 Life gets easier after difficult first six games, four of which are on the road. (Kuharsky)

8 (8) Falcons 11-5-0 A year of seasoning for Matt Ryan should put the Falcons in better position. Coach Mike Smith's even keel also seems helpful. (Sando)

9 (9) Vikings 10-6-0 Schism or not, Brett Favre makes this team a championship contender. (Chadiha)

10 (10) Ravens 11-5-0 They're lucky WR Derrick Mason decided to return from retirement. (Chadiha)

11 (13) Bears 9-7-0 I still don't see how Jay Cutler can play his best without proven wide receivers. (Chadiha)

12 (17) Packers 6-10-0 It all comes down to whether that defense can play better with a new 3-4 scheme. (Chadiha)

13 (12) Cardinals 9-7-0 QB Kurt Warner and key veterans sound a bit concerned after a lackluster preseason. The Cardinals still must prove they can be consistent. (Sando)

14 (11) Panthers 12-4-0 It's tough to set expectations for this group after so much staff turnover and the way Carolina faltered in the postseason. (Sando)

15 (18) Seahawks 4-12-0 The Seahawks are rising in the rankings after QB Matt Hasselbeck proved he could take a hit during the preseason. LT Walter Jones' health also key. (Sando)

16 (15) Dolphins 11-5-0 The Dolphins hope to avert the three-game drop that usually hits a team that goes from worst to first in a division. (Clayton)

17 (14) Cowboys 9-7-0 WR Roy Williams is catching everything in practice despite a sore shoulder, but he needs big season for the offense to thrive. (Clayton)

18 (19) Saints 8-8-0 Skepticism seems appropriate until the Saints prove they've finally upgraded their defense. Until then, it's fantasy football with Drew Brees. (Sando)

19 (16) Texans 8-8-0 LB Brian Cushing alone can't solve the defensive issues that lingered through preseason. (Kuharsky)

20 (20) Redskins 8-8-0 QB Jason Campbell appears improved now that coach Jim Zorn lets him throw more downfield. (Clayton)

21 (21) Bills 7-9-0 Firing offensive coordinator Turk Schonert nine days before the season opener is a sign of total panic in Buffalo. (Clayton)

22 (22) 49ers 7-9-0 Establishing a hard-nosed ground game was the first step for coach Mike Singletary and offensive coordinator Jimmy Raye. Can the passing game catch up? (Sando)

23 (23) Jets 9-7-0 Mark Sanchez continues to appear confident as a starter. He's seemingly more advanced than most rookie QBs. (Clayton)

24 (24) Bengals 4-11-1 Love this year's version of "Hard Knocks." Unfortunately, the Bengals' playoff hopes can be summed up by Chad Ochocinco's trademark saying: "Child, please." (Chadiha)

25 (25) Jaguars 5-11-0 With three division games in first four, the Jags are likely to move down before moving up. (Kuharsky)

26 (26) Buccaneers 9-7-0 A defensive-minded rookie coach plus new starting QB minus the offensive coordinator: I'm not so sure that's a winning equation. (Sando)

27 (27) Broncos 8-8-0 It has to take a while for team to buy in after all the drama surrounding former QB Jay Cutler, and then WR Brandon Marshall. (Kuharsky)

28 (28) Browns 4-12-0 I just can't see new coach Eric Mangini turning this team around in one season. (Chadiha)

29 (29) Chiefs 2-14-0 The Chiefs have a chance to climb if they can separate themselves from the Broncos and Raiders. (Kurharsky)

30 (30) Raiders 5-11-0 Will QB JaMarcus Russell start to quiet critics or give us more fodder? (Kuharsky)

31 (31) Rams 2-14-0 The schedule makers did new coach Steve Spagnuolo no favors by sending the Rams on the road three times in their first four games. (Sando)

32 (32) Lions 0-16-0 New coach Jim Schwartz will make the Lions better. He just won't do it fast enough to make a difference this fall. (Chadiha)

Awsome game last night! Titans will be a force this year for sure! Still can't believe I fell asleep and missed OT???

Palomalou injury = Madden jinx, last 9 out of 12 people featured on the cover of the years Madden game ended up injured. Looks like the Cards will only win 6 games this year now that Fitz will be going down as well!

13-3... yeah boyeeee.. the Jets were the only team I was really surprised about. Good job Rex.

Raiders and Bills look a lot better than I thought they would. The Bills offense lived up to its hype and the defense is a top 15, which may actually give them a playoff berth if they can keep it together.

Raiders go 5-11.

Week 2 Predictions.

Sunday, Sep 20

-------------------------

Carolina vs Atlanta

Carolina Bounces back here... I was stunned they were handled so easily last week... Delhomme better get back on his horse...

Minnesota vs Detroit

Have to go with the Vikes here and A.P. Although Farve might have a good game too.

Cincinnati vs Green Bay

Cincy's defense has improved and should have won last week... GB is still the better team and should win at home.

Arizona vs Jacksonville

Could AZ start 0-2??? This will be a tough game for the Cards... I like Jax at home.

Oakland vs Kansas City

Oakland will be 1-1 after this game. KC looked decent in the opener, but the Raiders run game will be the difference.

New England vs NY Jets

NE is the favorite... Sanchez will make mistakes and cost the Jets the game.

New Orleans vs Philadelphia

The Philly defense will need to play out of their minds this week... I like Brees and the Saints to roll against McNabbless Eagles.

Houston vs Tennessee

Houston disappointed me last week... The Titans will handle them easily this week.

St. Louis vs Washington

Too much defense for the hapless Rams... they might be worse than Detroit this year... Washington wins.

Seattle vs San Francisco

Great game here... SF has improved, but I like Seattle in this game.

Tampa Bay vs Buffalo

Tampa is aweful... Bills looked good - especially on defense. Bills win

Pittsburgh vs Chicago

Have to go with the Steelers here... Hopefully the running game will step it up this week.

Cleveland vs Denver

Denver isn't as lucky this week... The Browns win this.

Baltimore vs San Diego

Baltimore's offense looked good last week, but they are facing a good Chrager's team... I like SD at home.

NY Giants vs Dallas

Dallas steals one here.. The Cowboys are good early in the season...look for them to begin their crash at the 10th game or so.

Monday, Sep 21

Indianapolis vs Miami

This is going to be closer than expected... I like Miami in an upset.

2009 Power Rankings: Week 2

1 (1) Steelers 1-0-0 They need to get their running game going, but Big Ben seems better than ever. (Chadiha)

2 (2) Patriots 1-0-0 Tom Brady is magic in the final minutes, but the Pats' defense appears shaky. (Clayton)

3 (3) Giants 1-0-0 The Giants might not have a No. 1 receiver, but they seem like a No. 1 team. (Clayton)

4 (4) Eagles 1-0-0 By going for a meaningless fifth TD against the Panthers, Donovan McNabb fractured his ribs and the Eagles' season. (Clayton)

5 (6) Colts 1-0-0 Jim Caldwell showed some killer instinct at the end, but his running game didn't prove to be worth the faith. (Kuharsky)

6 (5) Chargers 1-0-0 They escaped with a win in Oakland, but the injury to center Nick Hardwick could be a big issue. (Kuharsky)

7 (8) Falcons 1-0-0 They beat the Dolphins comfortably without getting much production from Michael Turner or the ground game in general. Matt Ryan already seems to have a rapport with Tony Gonzalez. (Sando)

8 (9) Vikings 1-0-0 Adrian Peterson already seems like this season's MVP. (Chadiha)

9 (7) Titans 0-1-0 Mistakes in Pittsburgh kept the Titans from a potential upset, but Jeff Fisher won't let them dwell on the opener. (Kuharsky)

10 (10) Ravens 1-0-0 Even though it was against the Chiefs' defense, the Ravens' offense appears far more diversified and explosive this season. (Chadiha)

11 (12) Packers 1-0-0 Aaron Rodgers to Greg Jennings: That's a pretty strong combination. (Chadiha)

12 (18) Saints 1-0-0 With an assist from the Lions, Drew Brees has accounted for as many touchdowns as the rest of the NFC South combined. You have to like his MVP chances. (Sando)

13 (17) Cowboys 1-0-0 Roy Williams seems fine as the team's No. 1 receiver, and he doesn't cause the internal problems Terrell Owens created. (Clayton)

14 (15) Seahawks 1-0-0 Seattle was the only team in the NFC West to show signs of sustainable life on offense, albeit against the Rams. Matt Hasselbeck still is getting comfortable in a new offense. (Sando)

15 (11) Bears 0-1-0 The loss to Green Bay was tough. The loss of Brian Urlacher for the season was devastating. (Chadiha)

16 (23) Jets 1-0-0 Rex Ryan and Mark Sanchez are two of the most exciting additions to the AFC. (Clayton)

17 (13) Cardinals 0-1-0 They will get their passing game going eventually, but this team is dealing with something that wasn't a problem in 2008: injuries. Anquan Boldin and Steve Breaston are hurting. (Sando)

18 (22) 49ers 1-0-0 Greg Manusky's defense has a chance to rank among the NFL's best this season -- with a little more help from the offense. No style points for this team. (Sando)

19 (16) Dolphins 0-1-0 An opening loss to the Falcons was a reminder of how tough this ride will be for the Dolphins. (Clayton)

20 (20) Redskins 0-1-0 Once again, the Redskins couldn't generate enough offense to win a crucial game against the Giants. (Clayton)

21 (21) Bills 0-1-0 It's hard to win when the defense is on the field for 29 more plays than the offense. (Clayton)

22 (14) Panthers 0-1-0 Memories of Jake Delhomme's playoff implosion have unwelcome company. It's a bad sign when the coach has to clarify whether the franchise QB will keep his job in Week 2. (Sando)

23 (19) Texans 0-1-0 The opening dud left the team embarrassed and the city miserable. Visiting the Titans for Week 2 doesn't seem like a cure. (Kuharsky)

24 (27) Broncos 1-0-0 Maybe the Broncos were due a bit a karma, after all they've been through this year. (Kuharsky)

25 (25) Jaguars 0-1-0 The Jags fought hard in Indianapolis and deserve credit for holding the Colts to 14 points. They have to find a big play once in a while. (Kuharsky)

26 (24) Bengals 0-1-0 This team has to be cursed. There's no other way to explain the loss to Denver. (Chadiha)

27 (30) Raiders 0-1-0 The Raideres are not looking for moral victories, but the close loss to San Diego suggests the gap between the teams is not that big. (Kuharsky)

28 (28) Browns 0-1-0 It's got to be hard facing Brett Favre in his debut as a Viking. So what excuse will be convenient in Week 2? (Chadiha)

29 (26) Buccaneers 0-1-0 Give the Bucs credit for amassing 450 yards against the Cowboys in their opener. They surpassed that total only once all last season. (Sando)

30 (29) Chiefs 0-1-0 The offense without QB Matt Cassel was better than expected, but the defense was worse in the loss at Baltimore. (Kuharsky)

31 (32) Lions 0-1-0 A tough day for rookie QB Matt Stafford in the opener. There will be more tough days to come. (Chadiha)

32 (31) Rams 0-1-0 They kept it close for a half against the Seahawks, and that, sadly, is progress. Marc Bulger needs more weapons in the passing game. (Sando)

Hey thanks for the help Fran-coital! Allowed me to do my picks at lunch as opposed to setting the rest up!

Carolina vs Atlanta

Hotlanta will get the job done here this week although the Panthers will not implode like they did last week although would not be surprised if we see ol’ A.J. next week?

Minnesota vs Detroit

Detroit is better than last year but not good enough to stop the Vikings.

Cincinnati vs Green Bay

Although the Packers won last week they did not impress me that much. Expect much more of an offensive show this week from them. Pack running away.

Arizona vs Jacksonville

My head is screaming the Jags, but my heart tells me Cards. No way they can be as inept on offense again this week. Breasdon and Q will be back at speed this week and the offense will start to click. Cards in a close one.

Oakland vs Kansas City

The Oakland Raiders were one of the biggest surprises last week. They will prove that their performance last week was not a fluke. Besides its against KC

New England vs NY Jets

Brady of Sanchez, Pats over Jets

New Orleans vs Philadelphia

Saints should not have that difficult of a time this week as I can not imagine Jeff Garcia coming in and producing a win, he may even become responsible for the loss.

Houston vs Tennessee

Titans were impressive in their loss last week and should roll over H-town

St. Louis vs Washington

Washington evens up their record this week against St. Louis.

Seattle vs San Francisco

Not sure how they will pull this one off but San Fran will be on top of their division at 2-0 after this week?

Tampa Bay vs Buffalo

Buffalo should have won last week, no way they lose this week

Pittsburgh vs Chicago

Even being a huge Bears fan I will probably spare my eyes the misery of watching this game. Pitt (ouch)

Cleveland vs Denver

Can’t see Denver winning again this week, although I was wrong last week. Browns to win

Baltimore vs San Diego

The Chargers better play better this week than last if they expect to win, and I expect them to do just that.

NY Giants vs Dallas

Going to take the Giants just for spite of the Coyboys home opener in Jerrys new palace.

Monday, Sep 21

Indianapolis vs Miami

Manning still going strong after all these years, although I expect him to fade later this year, but not against the Dolphins.

Week 3, Sunday Sept. 27

Cleveland (0-2) - Baltimore (2-0)

The Ravens Defense is way to strong against the Browns Offense. Baltimore stays perfect.

Washington (1-1) - Detroit (0-2)

It’s been a long time coming but this is the week that Detroit finally puts a mark in the win column.

Jacksonville (0-2) - Houston (1-1)

Struggling with this game, Houston to squeak by.

San Francisco (2-0) - Minnesota (2-0)

Sorry 49ers the run is over, Vikings to run all over you.

Atlanta (2-0) - New England (1-1)

Pats get back to winning form this week with a tough win over the Falcons

Tennessee (0-2) - NY Jets (2-0)

A rookie QB leading his team to a 3-0 start? Nope sorry don’t see it happening; actually I do but still taking the Titans.

Kansas City (0-2) - Philadelphia (1-1)

They hype will be too great with the Vick sightings for Philly to lose this game.

Green Bay (1-1) – St. Louis (0-2)

Green Bay to bounce back after a disappointing loss last week.

NY Giants (2-0) – Tampa Bay (0-2)

Giants are playing out of their minds right now, no way Tampa can keep up

New Orleans (2-0) – Buffalo (1-1)

Have as little confidence in this pick as I did with the Titans pick but going to go with Bills.

Chicago (1-1) – Seattle (1-1)

Chicago gets a break here with a banged up Hasselbeck. Still no word on if he will play, but a fractured rib gives the Bears the edge.

Pittsburgh (1-1) – Cincinnati (1-1)

Don’t see a losing streak of more than 1 for Pitt this entire season, expect a statement being made that they are back this week.

Denver (2-0) – Oakland (1-1)

Have not pick Denver to win yet, why start now? Oakland in a close one.

Miami (0-2) – San Diego (1-1)

Sorry Miami, your chance at an upset was last week and you blew it. Chargers to win

Indianapolis (2-0) – Arizona (1-1)

Big game for the Cards and I think they will pull it off. Never like going against Manning but think Warner – Fitz are due for a big game.

Monday Night

Carolina (0-2) – Dallas (1-1)

Dallas to get back to winning this week although I still believe that the Panthers are too good of a team to be 0-3.

So, you don't consider the Titans falling to the Texans an upset?

You mean a team with a top 5 QB and the second best receiver in the league going up against one of the worst pass defenses in the NFL. I'd say no... not an upset.

I guess I should explain my picks instead of just picking and being amazing...

Week 3, Sunday Sept. 27

Cleveland - Baltimore
Browns are awful and will lose every game against any team over .500. Everything else is a coin toss.

Washington - Detroit
Stafford needs to settle down and not try so hard to force things. Skins pass rush will cause him to fail. Detroit will win, just not today.

Jacksonville - Houston
Jacksonville's running game versus Houston's passing game. I like MJD and all, but Jacksonville's D looked awful.

San Francisco - Minnesota
Dark Horse finally gets put down. Their D gets a handle on the passing game and keeps it close. SF to beat the spread but lose the game.

Atlanta - New England
Pats defense is a huge sack of fail this year, especially watching the J-E-T-S run over them. Now it's Michael Turner's turn. Atlanta has too many weapons on offense that doesn't match up with Pats D

Tennessee - NY Jets
J-E-T-S. Kerry Collins looks old, and Rex Ryan has engineered some of the best defenses of all time. Low scoring game.

Kansas City - Philadelphia
Kansas City is still bad, and Philly is so good with a competent QB. Does Vick destroy everything? Doubtful.

Green Bay – St. Louis
Poor Rams... years of mismanagement have put them here. Don't fret sports fans, they'll be back on 2012

NY Giants – Tampa Bay
Tampa is on par to be one of the worst teams this year. Giants are a year away from beating the unbeatable Patriots.

New Orleans – Buffalo
The Saints will beat every team that isn't a top passing defense. Saints will lose to the Falcons, Giants, Cowboys, and the Jets

Chicago – Seattle
Hasselbeck out. Bye.

Pittsburgh – Cincinnati
The Bungles. Not to mention Chad Johnson's calling out of the Steeler's defense. Bad idea.

Denver – Oakland
Denver's only threat is their passing attack. Oakland's best attribute is their secondary, which is the best in the NFL.

Miami – San Diego
I said the wildcat was dead this year in the preseason. It isn't new anymore and people know it is coming.

Indianapolis – Arizona
I flipped a coin on this one. These teams are practically mirrors of one another... except Peyton manages games better.

Monday Night

Carolina – Dallas
Delhomme throws 3 INTs, gets kicked in the balls by everyone in succession

Cherd
09-23-2009, 10:55 PM
Not to mention Chad Johnson's calling out of the Steeler's defense.
Don't you mean Chad Ochocinco? And anything that he says anymore doesn't surprise me, he's a freaking moron.

Week 3, Sunday Sept. 27

Cleveland - Baltimore
Division games are always tough, but Baltimore at home is even tougher... Baltimore.

Washington - Detroit
Detroit gets the upset here... Washington was boo'd at home - while winning last week... 9 points against the Rams is not impressive.

Jacksonville - Houston
I like Houston here. Jax is quite disappointing this year. Thought they would be better.

San Francisco - Minnesota
I like SF in this game. I believe they held AP to 3 yards on 14 carries last year... Gore is on fire as well. Might take Farve to pull this one out for the Vikes, but I don't see it.

Atlanta - New England
Pats defense is extremely suspect, but I think they pull it together this week at home.

Tennessee - NY Jets
Jets defense looked great last week... but remember... it was the Pats and a division game. I look for a Jets let down and the Titans should come away with a win.

Kansas City - Philadelphia
Vick is eligible this week to play and we could see him by halftime... Philly needs to keep the ship upright and will win at all costs.

Green Bay – St. Louis
Greenbay to roll here... AR should have crazy fantasy numbers in this game.

NY Giants – Tampa Bay
Giants way too strong here... Giants by double digits

New Orleans – Buffalo
I like Buffalo at home... T.O> is ging to have a big game this week... at least the Bills fans hope so!

Chicago – Seattle
I can't go with Seattle... Chicago needs to run it's offense exactly the way it did against Pitt last week to be successful.

Pittsburgh – Cincinnati
This game will be tougher for the Steelers than expected... another division game and the Bengals defense is much improved. The Steelers should have beat Chicago last week... 2 missed FG's in a game like this make me wonder about NFL and fixed games...

Denver – Oakland
Oakland is going to surprise a few people this year. JR is a terrible QB, but a good running game and exceptional defense can win them a few games... Oakland to win.

Miami – San Diego
Miami racked up 236 yards on the ground last week in a losing effort... Pennington does just enough for the win...

Indianapolis – Arizona
Colts for the win... just a coin toss here. What is the deal with Fitz's brother "tweeting" about Larry calling Kurt an "old man"? Is this for real?:D

Monday Night

Carolina – Dallas
Big "D" wins in this game... Jake better retire...

1. (10) Ravens 2-0-0 They're balanced on offense and tough on defense. (Chadiha)

2 (3) Giants 2-0-0 Mario Manningham might not be Plaxico Burress, but he's becoming an Eli Manning go-to guy. (Clayton)

3 (5) Colts 2-0-0 The first of two back-to-back prime-time road games went just fine in Miami. (Kuharsky)

4 (7) Falcons 2-0-0 Taking care of business within the division is key, but the Falcons can take another step if they win at New England on Sunday. (Sando)

5 (8) Vikings 2-0-0 So far, so good with Brett Favre in charge. (Chadiha)

6 (1) Steelers 1-1-0 They have got to find a running game. (Chadiha)

7 (12) Saints 2-0-0 Scoring 48 points at Philly isn't easy. Drew Brees is completing 75 percent of his passes to lead the MVP race early.(Sando)

8 (16) Jets 2-0-0 Rex Ryan has blitzed his way into first place in the AFC East. Division, beware. (Clayton)

9 (4) Eagles 1-1-0 Kevin Kolb put up great passing numbers, but the Eagles can't fly without Donovan McNabb. (Clayton)

10 (2) Patriots 1-1-0 Bill Belichick must go back to the drawing board for a November rematch against the Jets. (Clayton)

11 (6) Chargers 1-1-0 Might that home loss to the Ravens become an outcome that places a playoff matchup in Baltimore? (Kuharsky)

12 (11) Packers 1-1-0 Where was the Packers' pass protection (six sacks) and discipline (11 penalties) against the Bengals? (Chadiha)

13 (18) 49ers 2-0-0 The 49ers want to run the ball and they are, but don't overlook Shaun Hill. He's 9-3 as the 49ers' starter. (Sando)

14 (15) Bears 1-1-0 The Bears need more of the Jay Cutler who showed up to beat the Steelers. (Chadiha)

15 (13) Cowboys 1-1-0 Two problems don't go away: critical turnovers by Tony Romo and giving up big plays on defense. (Clayton)

16 (9) Titans 0-2-0 Mistake-filled first two weeks are fueling those critics who predicted a big drop-off after a 13-3 season. (Kuharsky)

17 (23) Texans 1-1-0 Everyone is wary of saying too much about the great victory in Tennessee, because historically the Texans have had some duds for follow-ups. (Kuharsky)

18 (17) Cardinals 1-1-0 Beating the Colts at home in Week 3 would validate the Cardinals' blowout victory at Jacksonville while potentially forcing a tie atop the NFC West. (Sando)

19 (19) Dolphins 0-2-0 The Wildcat dominated the Colts but Miami lost the game by four. Maybe the "Cat" isn't that wild. (Clayton)

20 (24) Broncos 2-0-0 Their two remaining games against the AFC North aren't likely to produce the same results their first two did. (Kuharsky)

21 (21) Bills 1-1-0 He's lost two offensive tackles and an offensive coordinator, but Trent Edwards is hanging in there as a no-huddle quarterback. (Clayton)

22 (14) Seahawks 1-1-0 Injuries always seem to be the big story for Seattle. Matt Hasselbeck's ribs aren't going to feel good any time soon. (Sando)

23 (20) Redskins 1-1-0 Playing St. Louis and Detroit in back-to-back weeks is a gift that buys time for the offense to start clicking. (Clayton)

24 (26) Bengals 1-1-0 This team would be 2-0 if it hadn't blown the final minute of its season opener. (Chadiha)

25 (22) Panthers 0-2-0 Jake Delhomme was much better in Week 2, but his two-game pace works out to eight touchdown passes and 40 interceptions. (Sando)

26 (27) Raiders 1-1-0 Better than many expected, but how long can they endure the poor play of JaMarcus Russell? (Kuharsky)

27 (25) Jaguars 0-2-0 It's time for the rookie wide receivers to see some action and make some contributions for the struggling Jags. (Kuharsky)

28 (29) Buccaneers 0-2-0 The Bucs have allowed 900 yards in their first two games. They even made the Bills look good. (Sando)

29 (28) Browns 0-2-0 Two blowout losses to open the season don't bode well. (Chadiha)

30 (30) Chiefs 0-2-0 Two turnovers, other miscues undid a lot of stat advantages in loss to Oakland. (Kuharsky)

31 (31) Lions 0-2-0 Even with two defeats, they already seem better than last season. (Chadiha)

32 (32) Rams 0-2-0 The Rams desperately need more punch from their passing game. Donnie Avery has been a nonfactor so far. (Sando)

lol... when he is healthy? Stat wise he isn't even in the top 5... I ain't sayin' he isn't good... just not in MY top 5. ;)

Marino is the exception... not the rule when it comes to great QB's... Most have rings.

Detroit (1-2) - Chicago (2-1) (-10)

Ok the streak is over, the Lions finally won a game. Time to start a new one, Bears to win although this will be a close one.

Cincinnati (2-1) - Cleveland (0-3) (+5.5)

Are the Bengals for real? Still too early for me to answer that one but they are real enough to get past the Browns. Hear they are having a special promotion this week, first 1,000 people to walk through the gates at Browns Stadium get to try out for QB!!!!!

Oakland (1-2) - Houston (1-2) (-9.5)
Having a tough time with this pick. Houston’s D is terrible, even J Russ maybe able to put numbers up against it. Going to go with Houston at home though

Seattle (1-2) - Indianapolis (3-0) (no line)

Indy to continue their roll, let’s just hope Seattle does us all a favor and never wears those lime green uniforms again!

Tennessee (0-3) - Jacksonville (1-2) (+3)
The classic battle of two under achievers this year! Going to give the nod to the Titans!

NY Giants (3-0) - Kansas City (0-3) (+9)

Wonder if the Giants will have their starters play in the second half? Giants to roll!

Baltimore (3-0) - New England (2-1) (-2)
Tough game here but will give the nod to the Pats at home.

Tampa Bay (0-3) - Washington (1-2) (-7)

Can not see Washington losing at home, although really can’t picture them winning either? Flip a coin, but Washington to win.

Buffalo (1-2) - Miami (0-3) (+2)
T. O. has not spread enough poison in the locker room yet but if they lose this week call in the Haz Mat team!!!! Bills to squeak by!

NY Jets (3-0) - New Orleans (3-0) (-6.5)
Alright went against the Jets last week and will again this week. Especially on the road against a good Saints team.

Dallas (2-1) - Denver (3-0) (+3)
Haven’t picked Denver yet and look how far it’s gotten me. Why change now! Dallas will pull it off some how.

St. Louis (0-3) - San Francisco (2-1) (-9.5)

49 ers will roll over the Lambs, errr I mean Rams

San Diego (2-1) - Pittsburgh (1-2) (-6.5)

Big Ben will have something to prove this week. Pitt at home

Monday, October 5, 2009

Green Bay (2-1) - Minnesota (3-0) (-3.5)

Detroit (1-2) - Chicago (2-1) (-10)

Stafford has a strong arm, but the Bears do just enough

Cincinnati (2-1) - Cleveland (0-3) (+5.5)

Bengals will win the battle of Ohio... a lot closer than you think though.

Oakland (1-2) - Houston (1-2) (-9.5)

Houston to bounce back... The Raiders are so damn unpredictable though..

Seattle (1-2) - Indianapolis (3-0) (no line)

Peyton will have a big game... Colts.

Tennessee (0-3) - Jacksonville (1-2) (+3)

Titans to get first win of the season...

NY Giants (3-0) - Kansas City (0-3) (+9)

Giants... nuff said

Baltimore (3-0) - New England (2-1) (-2)

Great game... I want the Pats to win, but I think Baltimore will pull it out in a close game.

Tampa Bay (0-3) - Washington (1-2) (-7)

Gah... I guess Washington, but who the hell knows!

Buffalo (1-2) - Miami (0-3) (+2)

Miami gets their first win of the season.

NY Jets (3-0) - New Orleans (3-0) (-6.5)

Fantasy league dream game... I like the Saints at home.

Dallas (2-1) - Denver (3-0) (+3)

Denver goes down... Cowboys improve...

St. Louis (0-3) - San Francisco (2-1) (-9.5)

niners will roll here... payback time.

San Diego (2-1) - Pittsburgh (1-2) (-6.5)

Home field for sure and Pitt is much better than record... Steelers win.

Monday, October 5, 2009

Green Bay (2-1) - Minnesota (3-0) (-3.5)

I like GB... look for AR to have a good game. Farve won't pull one out of his arse this week.

Cincinnati (3-1) Baltimore (3-1)
Baltimore’s D will be too much for the Bengals to handle. Ravens win.

Cleveland (0-4) Buffalo (1-3)
Bills will get by this week but only because they are at home

Washington (2-2) Carolina (0-3)
Panthers break into the win column this week!

Pittsburgh (2-2) Detroit (1-3)
Pitt, no need to go any further

Dallas (2-2) Kansas City (0-4)
Almost put the no need comment here but the Cowboys sure did look shaky last week. Luckily KC is just horrible. Dallas to win but I don’t think this will be a pretty game.

Oakland (1-3) NY Giants (4-0)

Tampa Bay (0-4) Philadelphia (2-1)
The return of McNabb? Philly going away

Minnesota (4-0) St. Louis (0-4)

Atlanta (2-1) San Francisco (3-1)

Houston (2-2) Arizona (1-2)
Taking the Cards coming off the bye week.

New England (3-1) Denver (4-0)
I just may finally get this right by not picking the Bronco’s? Pats to get by them this week.

Jacksonville (2-2) Seattle (1-3)

New England (3-1) Denver (4-0)

Houston (2-3) - Cincinnati (4-1)
Sorry Houston, not really sure what Cinci is doing but it is producing wins! Bengals win at home.

Detroit (1-4) - Green Bay (2-2)
Green Bay at home, coming off a bye week against the Lions. Surprisingly think this one will be a lot closer than you think. Pack to take it though

St. Louis (0-5) - Jacksonville (2-3)
Jags over Rams. St. Louis is a mess

Baltimore (3-2) - Minnesota (5-0)
Vikings fall from the ranks of the undefeated this week, although I may be a week early in this call. Ravens by a field goal.

NY Giants (5-0) - New Orleans (4-0)
Coin flip here. Think the Giants are slightly better than the Saints but it’s the Saints playing at home. Heads; Giants: Tails; Saints…….. Tails, Saints by a field goal?

Cleveland (1-4) - Pittsburgh (3-2)
Pitt has been shaky as of late but still strong enough to get past the Browns

Carolina (1-3) - Tampa Bay (0-5)
Panthers on a mini winning streak? Yup it will happen!

Kansas City (0-5) - Washington (2-3)
Actually having a really tough time with this game, but going to give the nod to Washington because they are at home and the fact they already lost to the Lions. Will not be surprised in the least if I am wrong with this one though.

Philadelphia (3-1) - Oakland (1-4)
Philly will run away with this game, or at least should!

Arizona (2-2) - Seattle (2-3)
If the Cards can play a full 60 minutes of football and for some reason not abandon the run completely they will win. Averaging only 18 carries per game will not get the job done in the NFL. Seahawks meet Beanie Wells!!! Cards to get by but see it coming down to the wire.

Tennessee (0-5) - New England (3-2)
Titans are a lot better than 0-5 but not good enough to beat the Pats at home.

Buffalo (1-4) - NY Jets (3-2)
Jets find the win column again this week.

Chicago (3-1) - Atlanta (3-1)
Another game I am on the fence with, probably the only reason is that I am a Bears fan though. Can I pick against them? Nah, more last minute Cutler heroics to save the day!

St. Louis (0-5) - Jacksonville (2-3)
Jags here... Rams are looking bad and I like Bulger as a QB...

Baltimore (3-2) - Minnesota (5-0)
Minnesota to hit a wall starting this week... Ravens by 2 scores.

NY Giants (5-0) - New Orleans (4-0)
Giants continue to roll... Saints to get first loss.

Cleveland (1-4) - Pittsburgh (3-2)
Pitt needs a strong showing and who better to beat up on than the Browns!

Carolina (1-3) - Tampa Bay (0-5)
Panthers to prevail here... it will be close though.

Kansas City (0-5) - Washington (2-3)
I like KC to get their first win here...

Arizona (2-2) - Seattle (2-3)
coin flip... I will take Seattle at home.

Tennessee (0-5) - New England (3-2)
Titans are killing me week after week... I will take the Pats but wouldn't be surprised if the Titans pulled it out.

Buffalo (1-4) - NY Jets (3-2)
Jets roll at home...

Chicago (3-1) - Atlanta (3-1)
Atlanta destroyed SF last week...I like them here too.

Monday, October 19, 2009
Denver (5-0) - San Diego (2-2)
Chargers win this... Denver is over rated... IMO

1) Arizona (+3) at Seattle (47)
2) Cleveland (+14) at Pitt (38)
3) Chicago (+3) at Atlanta (46)

1) Taking Arizona plus 3 and the under (think AZ will win straight up)
2) Cleveland plus 14 and the over (Pitt will win but not cover)
3) Chicago plus 3 and the under (also like Chicago straight up)

I'll get in on the fun. A potential problem is that the lines can fluctuate. I suppose we just have to use the initial lines, or an official set.

Houston (+5) - Cincinnati (-5)

Detroit (+13.5) - Green Bay (-13.5)

St. Louis (+9.5) - Jacksonville (-9.5)

Baltimore (+3) - Minnesota (-3)

NY Giants (+3) - New Orleans (-3)

Cleveland (+14) - Pittsburgh (-14)

Carolina (-3.5) - Tampa Bay (+3.5)

Kansas City (+6) - Washington (-6)

Philadelphia (-14) - Oakland (+14)

Arizona (+3) - Seattle (-3)

Tennessee (+9.5) - New England (-9.5)

Buffalo (+10) - NY Jets (-10)

Chicago (+3.5) - Atlanta (-3.5)

Denver (+3) - San Diego (-3)

I'll tally up the W-L totals against the spread if you guys are interested in doing it. Or like you said, we could each pick our 5 or 6 favorites.

Sunday, October 25, 2009
Green Bay (3-2) - Cleveland (1-5)
Packers to dominate every aspect of this game.

San Francisco (3-2) - Houston (3-3)
If this game was in San Fran, a no brainer, but Houston has been playing pretty decent as of late. Still think a well rested 49ers team will win here, but I expect this to be close.

San Diego (2-3) - Kansas City (1-5)
Chargers should have an easy time here.

Minnesota (6-0) - Pittsburgh (4-2)
Vikings fall this week, Pitt will win at home.

Indianapolis (5-0) - St. Louis (0-6)
So how many yards do ya think Manning will have by half time? Colts to blow them out.

New England (4-2) - Tampa Bay (0-6)
Brady and company to roll again this week.

Buffalo (2-4) - Carolina (2-3)
Even though they won last week, the Bills seem to be on the verge of collapse. Carolina will prevail here at home.

NY Jets (3-3) - Oakland (2-4)
Jets will get back on track this week.

Chicago (3-2) - Cincinnati (4-2)
Both clubs coming off of disappointing loses this week. Cinci just seems to be having “one” of those seasons, and Cutler should be happy this week with the big fat extension he just received. Bears squeak by due to Defense and Special Teams.

Atlanta (4-1) - Dallas (3-2)
I have lost all confidence in Dallas. Falcons will prevail.

New Orleans (5-0) - Miami (2-3)
Saints stay perfect, too many weapons for Miami.

Arizona (3-2) - NY Giants (5-1)
Giants get redemption against the Cards unless Warner exposes the secondary like Brees did. Giants in a high scoring game.

Monday, October 26, 2009
Philadelphia (3-2) - Washington (2-4)
Philly has something to prove this week after the embarrassing loss last week. What a perfect confidence builder in Washington.

Green Bay (3-2) - Cleveland (1-5)
GB should win... bad weather may play a roll and keep it close.

San Francisco (3-2) - Houston (3-3)

I like Houston here... the Niners were very disappointing against the Falcons.

San Diego (2-3) - Kansas City (1-5)

SD will be .500 after this game

Minnesota (6-0) - Pittsburgh (4-2)

Steelers will make a statement this week and next...

Indianapolis (5-0) - St. Louis (0-6)

Blow out... Colts roll.

New England (4-2) - Tampa Bay (0-6)

Poor Tampa won't catch a break this week...

Buffalo (2-4) - Carolina (2-3)

I like Buffalo here... just a feeling...

NY Jets (3-3) - Oakland (2-4)

Upset alert! Jets are panning out to be as mediocre as I thought...

Chicago (3-2) - Cincinnati (4-2)

This is a "pick-em" OT game... I will take Cinci at home.

Atlanta (4-1) - Dallas (3-2)

Dallas will improve at home this week.

New Orleans (5-0) - Miami (2-3)

Another upset alert!! Miami to stun the Saints! Go, Go! WIldcat!!

Arizona (3-2) - NY Giants (5-1)

Giants to roll with defense... The Cards secondary is bad.... very bad....

Monday, October 26, 2009

Philadelphia (3-2) - Washington (2-4)

Philly will be .500 as well... but not as easy as one might suspect.

Denver (6-0) - Baltimore (3-3)
Been going against the Bronco’s all year, well time to change it up some. Bronco’s to win!

Houston (4-3) - Buffalo (3-4)
Houston has been playing pretty decent as of late although wonder about the weather. Texans get the nod here.

Cleveland (1-6) - Chicago (3-3)
Chicago to win at home although will not be surprised if the Browns can sneak past them.

Seattle (2-4) - Dallas (4-2)
Cowboys to win at home!

St. Louis (0-7) - Detroit (1-5)
Does it really matter? Figured Detroit would win 3-4 games this year, so for that to be right they would have to win here. Also didn’t figure the Rams would not win a game, so this is their chance. Lions at home!

San Francisco (3-3) - Indianapolis (6-0)
Looks to me as if Indy will stay perfect for now!

Miami (2-4) - NY Jets (4-3)
My heart is telling Miami, but my head says Jets! Jets! Jets!!!!!

NY Giants (5-2) - Philadelphia (4-2)
Fitting game matching the World Series! NY will win this one just like the Yankees will win the Series.

Oakland (2-5) - San Diego (3-3)
Do I dare pick Oakland??? Nahhhh, Chargers prevail.

Jacksonville (3-3) - Tennessee (0-6)
Wish I knew who was going to start at QB for the Titans. Ehhh, doesn’t matter going to give the nod this week.

Carolina (2-4) - Arizona (4-2)
Cards defense played exceptional last week, watch the offense click this week. Cardinals to win.

Minnesota (6-1) - Green Bay (4-2)
Farve will be pumped up for this game which will lead to him over throwing and trying to create something when it just isn’t there. Pack pull it off!!!

Denver (6-0) - Baltimore (3-3)
I still think Denver is overrated. And Ray Lewis is angry. Very angry.

Houston (4-3) - Buffalo (3-4)
Buffalo sucks. Slaton carries my fantasy team.

Cleveland (1-6) - Chicago (3-3)
Seriously, Cleveland is just... terrible.

Seattle (2-4) - Dallas (4-2)
NFC West... ha.

St. Louis (0-7) - Detroit (1-5)
Detroit isn't really a super bad team, they just keep getting fed to good teams. Look for the lions to double their win total from last season

San Francisco (3-3) - Indianapolis (6-0)
Peyton will destroy my dark horse as the Crabtree curse lives on.

Miami (2-4) - NY Jets (4-3)
Miami is too good to be 2-4. The football gods will correct this as Sanchez appears to be mortal once again.

NY Giants (5-2) - Philadelphia (4-2)
Look for the Iggles D to win today after the Aints exposed the NY Football Giants.

Oakland (2-5) - San Diego (3-3)
I picked Oakland to win 7 games this year.. I think I have to pick this for my upset of the week! And the Chargers really have one hell of an overrated defense.

Jacksonville (3-3) - Tennessee (0-6)
Watch as Collins either throws 3 INTs, or the Titans get 3 scores down and he gets pulled in favor of VY, but its way too late and everyone gives up on the coach. MJD wins my fantasy league this week.

Carolina (2-4) - Arizona (4-2)
When the hell did Carolina get 2 wins?

Minnesota (6-1) - Green Bay (4-2)
hahahahahaaaa... Oh vengeance. To be fair, it will be cold. Lets see Bretts throwing arm in the cold again. GB still loses though.

Monday, November 2, 2009
Atlanta (4-2) - New Orleans (6-0)
NO will continue to win until they face a strong defense. Miami exposed them and someone will watch what they did. Falcons will not.

Denver (6-0) - Baltimore (3-3)
Denver comes back to earth... Ravens at home.

Houston (4-3) - Buffalo (3-4)
I like Buffalo in an upset at home. They have issues, but Houston isn't solid either...

Cleveland (1-6) - Chicago (3-3)
Chicago wins

Seattle (2-4) - Dallas (4-2)
Dallas gets the nod...

St. Louis (0-7) - Detroit (1-5)
Detroit at home... first time we can say that with confidence in a long time!

San Francisco (3-3) - Indianapolis (6-0)
Indy at home... SF is falling... fast.

Miami (2-4) - NY Jets (4-3)
Miami wildcat to prevail... Sanchez is over rated.

NY Giants (5-2) - Philadelphia (4-2)
Giants roll on... Philly is due for another bad game...

Oakland (2-5) - San Diego (3-3)
SD at home... Oakland is a mess. WTF is going on with JR??? That kid has so much talent... shamefully wasted with the black and silver...

Jacksonville (3-3) - Tennessee (0-6)
Vince Young might get the start here... I look for the Titans to win this... they have to win soon... right?

Carolina (2-4) - Arizona (4-2)
Arizona at home...

Minnesota (6-1) - Green Bay (4-2)
If Gb can stop the pass rush... they will have a chance. AR is awesome and emotions will get the win here for GB

Washington (2-5) - Atlanta (4-3)
Falcons fly past the Redskins

Arizona (4-3) - Chicago (4-3)
Tough pick here as I am fans of both. Which Quarterback will show up for either team is the real question? How effective will Boldin be? Still going to give the edge to the Cards receivers against the Bears Secondary. Cards will air it out and the Bears will just not be able to keep up with the scoring.

Baltimore (4-3) - Cincinnati (5-2)
Thinking that Cinci will be able to take advantage of the Ravens aging defense and come up with the win.

Houston (5-3) - Indianapolis (7-0)
Going to give Indy the nod because they are at home.

Kansas City (1-6) - Jacksonville (3-4)
Jags even up their record this week.

Miami (3-4) - New England (5-2)
I do believe this will be a close game but will give the edge to the Pat’s.

Green Bay (4-3) - Tampa Bay (0-7)
Tampa will win a game this year, somehow, just not this week. Packers in a blow out!

Carolina (3-4) - New Orleans (7-0)
Can you say trap game? Even though I think it will be possible for the Saints to lose focus and not play well this week, still can not play against them. Saints at home.

Detroit (1-6) - Seattle (2-5)
Yuk!!! This game is as attractive as the Lions game last week. Seahawks at home if anyone cares.

San Diego (4-3) - NY Giants (5-3)
What happened to the Giants? They will get back on track this week at home.

Tennessee (1-6) - San Francisco (3-4)
San Fran to also get their record back to even this week although I do not think it will be easy.

Dallas (5-2) - Philadelphia (5-2)
Both teams have been playing really good as of late and should prove to be a great test for them both. I will still give the advantage to the Eagles though.

Sunday, November 15, 2009
Atlanta (5-3) - Carolina (3-5)
Going to have to take Atlanta here although the Panthers have been playing respectable.

Tampa Bay (1-7) - Miami (3-5)
Can Tampa start a winning streak? Nope, Miami will run all over them!

Detroit (1-7) - Minnesota (7-1)
Vikings after the bye with only having to face Seattle next week, can’t even give the Lions the advantage that the Vikes will be looking past this game!

Jacksonville (4-4) - NY Jets (4-4)
What happened to the Jets? Plus the Jags almost blew up playing KC? Hoping Sanchez got his head straight with the bye at least enough to pick up a win here.

Cincinnati (6-2) - Pittsburgh (6-2)
Tough game. Only picking Pitt because they are at home.

New Orleans (8-0) - St. Louis (1-7)
Saints to stay perfect!

Buffalo (3-5) - Tennessee (2-6)
Actually giving this one to the coaches, Fisher out coaches Jeuron, Titans win!

Denver (6-2) - Washington (2-6)
Denver will get back to their winning ways against the lowly Skins

Kansas City (1-7) - Oakland (2-6)
Watch KC pick up their second of the season against the Raiders.

Seattle (3-5) - Arizona (5-3)
Arizona has to figure out how to win at home and will do so this week.

Dallas (6-2) - Green Bay (4-4)
Cowboys have looked impressive as of late but watch them falter this week in Green Bay.

Philadelphia (5-3) - San Diego (5-3)
Which Philly team will show up? I am thinking the good one this week and they win on the road.

New England (6-2) - Indianapolis (8-0)
Pat’s will take the Colts from the ranks of unbeaten this week. Indy appears to be a bit shaky as of late.

Baltimore (4-4) - Cleveland (1-7)
There has been a lot of noise coming out of Cleveland but not enough action being done. Quinn to get the start this week, but that is not enough to get them past the Ravens.

There is rumor that the Cleveland fans want to boycott the kick-off. After the kick-off they will go to their seats. This will be funny if they can pull this off, especially being a Monday Night game.

It's not a rumor, the owner has already met with the two guys who began organising this! I hope it does work!!!

Since there are only half the seats sold, it might not even be televised in my area. WTF

So, I'm watching my beloved Colts get their asses handed to them for three quarters last night and almost turned the TV off in the third quarter out of disgust. Boy, I'm glad I didn't! I'm not going to sit here and brag about the win or anything (although the win is pretty sweet), because a lot of freakish things had to happen. This includes BradyCheck being complete freaking idiots, what the hell were they thinking? Just goes to show how respected Manning's 2-minute drill skills are, especially after Brady choked on a 3-n-out.

Did you see the magazine cover comparison that they did for Manning and Brady? Hilarious!

Can they change blackout maps based on ticket sales? Seems like ESPN would have something to say about that.

Blackouts are based on ticket sales... I think it gets blacked out within a 100 mile radius in the event it doesn't sell out...

With the season coming up I wanted to see if there is a way to see the games. I tried googling about watching NFL games overseas and it is possible through Yahoo, but it costs over 200. I was wondering if anybody knew of a cheaper way to watch the games online? Thanks

The season is well underway, so I'd suggest the 1 Year Access & Support for only $2.49/month (http://live-football-channel.tv/).

HHhhmmm ... just looked into hockey .... wonder if they deliver what they promise??? TV deals (regardless of provider) for the whole NHL season turned out to be complete duds!!!! Most games are NOT available, even with subscription, what a scam! You can't even see them in sports bars ... so, how come it costs pennies here??? Explanation? Do you use them?

No, I don't use them, and I thought the same thing you did.

But the cost/month for a one year subscription doesn't seem to be a Huge Risk for anyone that really wants it.

The only thing that might change the figure is the country you receive the service. I'm assuming the USA.

No it just means that the Chiefs here in KC got extremely lucky. After the first half, it looked really bad for us. I don't know how, but somehow they pulled it out.

I don't know how many games he would last taking a beating like he did yesterday... he took some shots, but kept going! He is prolly sitting in a tub of ice today...lol

I just heard Charlie Batch broke his wrist yesterday... he is out 4-6 weeks... and who knows when ben will be ready... he took a shot to the head.

Johnny Damon back from the Yankees?!!!! Seriously?!!

Johnny Damon now epitomizes greed and the ultimate sell out. Of course, deep down I already knew that most professional athletes have these qualities. But damn, THE FREAKIN YANKEES!!!!! Nice way to destroy our remaining sense that players feel any loyalty to their teams or their fan base. They obviously do not. This was horrible for baseball

Every time I see Damon come to the plate in a Yankees uniform I sit there and wish that I could kick him in the face. Since I obviously can't reach him, I then revert to wishing that he would catch a fastball in the face (No, I am not exaggerating). I would vomit if he ended up back with the Sox.

Yeah, it is not like some of these guys don't get paid enough..Maybe they should start cracking down on all of the misconduct in the league instead of rewarding it with bigger salaries. I say knock every player down to $100,000.00 and see if they still want to play..then you see who is playing for the love of the game and who is just greedy

Exactly...

100k base salary
Rent free house in the city they play for... option to buy
100% incentive:
a.) 40k for 30 stolen bases
b.) 50k for 30 home runs
c.) 60k for 15 complete games
d.) 75k for 20 wins (pitcher)

and so forth...
