My post was deleted

I posted something yesterday, very similar to something I've been posting for months. It was up for a while, and then today, the link was there, but the text was gone, replaced with "The requested ad could not be found or was recently deleted."

Why does this happen? It's the same type of ad I've posted before, so I'm pretty sure that I'm not violating any rules. Thanks in advance.

users receiving the "The requested ad could not be found or was recently deleted" could be the result of the community removing the ad because of content, posting in incorrect catagorize, posting in multiple cities and/or multiple catagorize.

I know that the category is correct, but I do have similar ads in other cities, so I'm guessing that's the reason.

What I don't understand is why this is happening *now*. It's never been a problem before. Are there new rules that have come into effect recently? If so, is there a purpose behind it? I would never mass-post onto every single city available, but there are legitimate reasons why my company (and other companies, I'm sure) may need to post the same thing in multiple cities.

Sorry to belabor the point, but I'm really curious. I've had really good results using backpage in the past, and I'd hate to lose it.

there have been no policy changes. regarding why your ad or ads have recently been removed is unknown. again, it is at the communities discretion as to what is appropriate content; however if users break backpage policies then eventually their ads will be removed by administrators.
