Hey all I recently bought a pc DVD burner. Now what im wanting to do is burn dvds. I have downloaded them off of limewire. I think I need a converter and a burning program right?? I really dont know what im doing. If anyone could help me it would be greatly appreciated. Also the cheaper the better on the programs. Free is always good. Thanks Aaron

Roxio is good, Nero is good, WinDVD is good, but you have to buy them. Alcohol120 is free. If you want to burn copyright/encrypted dvds you need something like DVD X Copy Platinum. Most burners come with at least Nero.

Good luck

your downloads will never look as good as the originals. my advice isto get netflix, blockbuster online, etc. and just copy the discs with slysoft clone dvd. works great and makes 100% identical copies... not that i do that or anything, or that i encourage that sort of thing...

the three top DVD burning software programs are:
DVD X Copy Platinum
DVD Cloner III
1 Click DVD Copy 4.2

All three cost money, but they will compress/decrypt any DVD (so I have read...not that I encourge it) DVD X Copy Platinum will not decrypt about 5% of the newer DVDs. The other two will handle any and all DVDs. They are excellent for backing up your own (purchased) DVDs. I back up my "purchased" DVDs because my kids destroy them or take them to their friends house to watch and forget to bring them back
