What was the lesbian communities reaction to John Kerry's comment during the final presidential debate about VP Cheney's daughter? I know this is old news but I was curious.

A. kerry should be President!!

B. Cheney should not be such a backstabbing man and confess that he is okay with his daughter being a lesbian!

Who cares if she's a lesbian? Did he say it thinking if people knew she was, then thy would not like the guy or what?

exactly. kerry only mentioned it because he wanted "on the fence' voters to not like the bush/cheney ticket because the VP's daughter being gay. ironically, kerry was the candidate that most gay & lesbians identified with; so to me it was a slap in their face that he said it.
