...the only thing i can say is ...the flaming fags are obvious...BUT they're probably like @ most 20% or less of the gay/bis...even crossdressing is not a sign...most crossdressers are hetero...sissyish...a lisp...limp wrist...still not really a sign...in short gays/bi are so adapt at blending in that unless you get to know someone you can't tell...

I would agreed. Most people would never think I was bisexual. In fact, most of the 100% gay guys I do know are as masculine as any straight guy. The difference is that they tend to be more fit [like, super fit], better groomed, better dressed and generally better looking by a long shot. Just goes to show you that men will be men no matter what their orientation. And people wonder why women feel like objects!

While I'm sure there are many areas where this is true, your generalization of Texas as a whole makes it sound so provencial when in fact, Dallas has a very active gay community. One of my best childhood friends used to live there if you're wondering how I know.....

There are wacky nervous insecure "straight" guys everywhere. Just a few weeks ago I was having a beer with a neighbor and one of her friends and the topic of gay came up. I jokingly quoted a movie line "you've got a purty mouth"! The fellow I was referring to freaked out and said among several things "don't even joke like that!" He said he hates gays and "transvestites"!
Now understand I am not out and my TSGF "passes". I told him I have gay relatives and that I would happily "hurt" anyone who fucked with any of them.
So Charles is right, probably better to be safe if you really don't know.
