Default Office 2010 Help Files

Here's the problem folks.

When I try to look at the 'Help' files in Word 2010, I keep getting directed to the Microsoft Web Help Online. What happened to the old help files that were stored within the Word programme?

Maybe your word2010 have encountered error while your windows version was updating and you need to fix that error. Or it might need an update.

Where are you clicking? In the far right corner, there is a little blue (?) question mark...if you click it, the help topic (small) dialogue box pops up and you can browse from there...this is the help section within the program, not the redirected help on the Microsoft website. It has to be there since not everyone is online when they want to use the software.

Huh? Have you been drinking Franco???? When I scan a document, it gets saved as a PDF file. The problem I have is that I often need to translate the document from Spanish into English but when it is in the PDF reader it isn't possible to copy and paste it into the translator programme...not unless you have the full mega-bucks version of Adobe Reader or Foxit etc.

I have been told that there is a free version of a PDF reader called 'Abbyy Fine Reader' that will scan and then allow you to send to 'Word' where you can alter it or copy/paste it to a translator programme. I will download it and try.
