In case you haven't heard, Broward, Miami-Dade and Palm Beach Counties have the HIGHEST euthenasia rate in the entire country! More helpless, homeless animals are put to death every day (120,000+ a year) in these three counties than anywhere else.
What a tragedy - we can do something about it. Here's the partial solution: Change Florida law which currently allows Nazi-like condo/homeowner administrators forbid pets in controlled property. This is a particularly odious situation in the senior citizen colonies - where elderly, lonely, widowed, single relocated seniors would benefit by the presence of a loving pet companion. In addiion, medical research supports pet companionship for just those people currently disallowd the pleasure and joy. And one more thing: the restrictions are in conflict with Federal Law - but most of the seniors affected are unable for many reasons to stand up for their legal rights. With appropriate publicit and an organized political action, we can shame Florida - especially the three most shameful counties, into reversing current abominable laws. More adoptions, less animal killing! Simple, really. Anyone interested in this issue, e-mail me, please.

Because you can come across these animals a dime a dozen at the shelters, I have found a better use for them.
I never tried eating K9's until my friend invited me to a mut-beque. I hate to say it, bu it tastes like chicken. Just recently I have devoloped the perfect marinade for Dalmations, which do have a unique taste. Go ahead and try it out for yourself. It might make a Dalmation lover out of you yet. Preparation Separate all legs with a hacksaw (The ribs do not have much meat on them) Use a fillet knife to peel back the hide from the meat. Preheat oven to 350. Marinade 1/2 cup Worstershire 2 tbs salt 1/2 cup sugar 3 chopped garlic cloves Soak for 20 min. and bake until golden brown. Serve with steamed rice and carrots. ENJOY! |
