I've ordered from 1800contacts.com before with no problems. You can call them or order them online.

They are also a GreenZap merchant. Make your purchase through greenzap and you can even get cash back.

Never heard of Greenzap? That's okay. Go here for your free account and $50 in webcash to get you started.

Default Hmm...Let's see

Hi Brenda,

To be honest with you, I haven't really looked into setting up a merchant account yet. GreenZap is still very new and constantly evolving. I think that if you were to accept it now, you would basically have to invoice your customers through GreenZap manually to request your funds. Eventually, they will be adding Merchant tools to link your GreenZap account to your website.

Transaction fees will be a flat rate of either $1 or $2, depending if you are a green or gold member, and most of your transaction fees will be free anyway because you can use webcash to pay for them. You will get $50 in webcash for signing up plus $5 for everyone who signs up behind you.

I have used the $50 sign up bonus as an incentive for some of my other online opportunities that I promote. That's mainly what I've been using it for--a promotional tool.

Basically, GreenZap was developed to compete with Paypal and give people another option for accepting payments online. Soon you will be able to accept credit card payments through GreenZap as well. The transaction fees compared to Paypal are where the real savings come in. They also share the revenue with all of the members using what they call a "pass through" affiliate program. In other words, commissions made from affiliates they represent are "passed through" to the members who belong to the community where the sale was made.

I know that there are a lot of people accepting GreenZap on Ebay now, so, you might do a search there and ask them what they are doing.

Below, I've copied the text from the GreenZap site in regards to Merchant accounts:

Sellers, Merchants and Preferred Merchants
It's E.Z. to use G.Z.
GreenZap is here to help you sell your products and services more efficiently and effectively.

You can use the GreenZap accepted logo when selling your products & services on your website.

GreenZap Accepted

It's easy as 1, 2, 3.

1. Post this logo on your website (copy and paste, or "save picture as").
2. Decide what percentage of WebCash you will accept per item sold (optional). If you want to accept payment in 100% cash, that's okay too.
3. Get ready for GreenZappers!

Merchants and Preferred Merchants
Soon you will be able to download our "Merchant Tools" and link your GreenZap account to your 'check out' page or shopping cart.

This summer, you will be able to access GreenZap's global community of loyal, online shoppers by posting your products & services in the GreenZap Storez. Whether you're an individual member or a preferred merchant, your products & services can be seen and purchased by the entire GreenZap community!

Get Rewarded!
By giving away $50 WebCash FREE to all your clients, employees and suppliers we'll help you build loyalty, while building your own rewardz. This can be used to reduce or completely eliminate online transaction feez.

Start earning today!

I'm not sure if that answers your question or not. Like I said, I've only been using it as a promotional tool with pretty good success. I've just been saving up my webcash and cash that I've earned through referring people. I'll probably set up a merchant account myself, so, I can answer you better once I get that done.

Stay tuned...

Default about contact lenses...

Do you have to have a prescription to order contacts online? I know what strength I need, and what brand I want, but my Rx has expired. --Just wondering.

Trina,
It's been about 8 or 9 months since I ordered mine, but I'm pretty sure you just enter the strength on the order page and you are all set. They don't need the actual prescription itself, just strength and diameter sizes.

It doesn't really matter if it's expired or not. Of course, the size and strength may have changed since your last exam but it shouldn't be much of a problem.

I have purchased colored contact lenses from Fashion Contact Lenses before, no problems there arrived within a couple of days,

I do not know if this is of any help to your question as you did not state if you wear non prescription lenses or prescription lenses,

I've been using Lens.com for the past six years. The prices are great! A much better value than at my doctor's and I usually get my contact lenses within a week of ordering them.
